2008-01-11 Podium
In Lake Louise in December last year( 2007) it was the season start for the speed disciplines as usual. The downhill race what not much to yalk about... not even top 30, but on the Super-G I had a better day. I started with nr 3 and I was really excited and it feld fun to go. With a early number in Super-G you don´t know so much about the course, just your own inputs from the inspection and then some quick coments from the coaches who has seen the forerunners. So theres no other gear than full gas and take risks. I had an awesome run without mistakes and I was leading with 1.40 s when I came down. After a while I thought this could be top 10, not until after nr 22 I thought I could be 3rd, but thats the way it ended, I had my first podium in a worldcup race and I was so happy and feld reliefed, " enjoy the fruits of one´s labour" (få lön för mödan). Martina Schild, Switzerland won and Maria Riesch, Germany was second. I want to thank all people around me that helped me to achieve this, escpeially Jonas, mum, dad and my sisters, but also friends, coaches, athletes in the team, technicians, physios and sponsors!!!
